Resolution Sculpture – Chance Resolution
Chance Resolution is an interactive art installation that allows participants to record their resolution and then test the resolution’s fate via a magic 8-ball facsimile. After the participant states their resolution into a microphone, they will have to opportunities to shake a ball that contains a motion sensor. This action triggers a stop-motion animation to run, which is projected onto a building wall at Penn & 8th. When the participant stops shaking the object, a message will appear to let them know the fate of their resolution. Surrounding this will be a sound installation made from the recorded New Year’s resolutions.
