AcoustiCafe: Joy Ike
Her fans have compared her vocally to Corinne Bailey Rae and Norah Jones, stylistically to Fiona Apple and Laura Nyro, and have said that her ambiance is much like that of India Aire and Lizz Wright. The Pittsburgh-based singer/songwriter brings her soulful pop sound to the August Wilson Center – hosting and evening of original music by other singer songwriters and closing the evening with her own set. She will be sharing some songs from her forthcoming album to be released in January 2013.
