AcoustiCafe: Chris Hannigan
Performing as
part of Highmark First Night Pittsburgh AcoustiCafe, Pittsburgh native Chris Hannigan blends folk, soul, and pop melodies with gentle, fingerpicked acoustic guitar parts to create memorable songs that range from the light and whimsical to the brooding and melancholic.
Listeners find his music relaxing, down to earth, and refreshing.
Fans of Paul Simon, Jack Johnson, and James Taylor are sure to enjoy.
He released his first EP, “Lickety Split,” during the summer of 2012. He called it:
“A lovely collection of songs written over the last three years and recorded one late evening during one session at Audible Images recording studio. With sparse acoustic guitar and tranquil vocals, this little ep serves as a perfect introduction to my songs.”
Hannigan has performed locally at Club Cafe and the Hard Rock Cafe at Station Square, and he has shared the stage with nationally touring acts like Joe Firstman and Steve Poltz. He continues to build a loyal, local following and plans for another EP or full length album are in the works.
